The Top 30 Search Engine Results Myth!

Somebody had to ask the Question! If only the top 30 responses to a search engine request are important then what are the thousands of other sites that are in line beyond number 30 doing for visitors?

Many Internet marketing gurus say that if you are not one of the top 30 sites posted as a result of a search request you are not going to be "clicked" on. How did they arrive at 30? Probably because of their short attention span. If you are not a professional researcher who knows all of the tricks about "drilling" down into the information resources then you too will soon get tired of clicking on sites that are of little or no use to you. Even 30 can become a chore.

After all isn't part of the reason for a business being on the Internet is to register with search engines so that you can be found by others who might be interested in what you have to offer?

If the professional site designers and web marketing gurus are going to dominate the top 30 positions-maybe 40, 50, and eventually more what will the rest of us do?
